SPARTAAAAAAAAAAA
This is about closure for me - today, I submitted the final two assignments from the Postgraduate Certificate of Primary Health Care. It took me a while - this has been painful - but do not need to be at the Uni AGAIN! Just in the nick of time, as this morning, in three hours I am going to the airport to get a flight to Sydney. In Sydney, Bek, Simon and I are going to see Mamma Mia! the musical at the amazing Star City Casino where Bek and I also went in 2007. The next day, the three of us are going to the Acer Arena to see The Circus: Starring Britney Spears. We are so excited. The Aus media not been that kind to Britney, but we are delighted to see her live NO MATTER WHAT. NO MATTER WHAT. Moni, Dino and a few others from Adelaide will be there that night, and I plan to meet up with my mate Lizzie who I have not seen since the 30 Seconds to Mars concert (also in Sydney).

After Sydney, I will be flying over to the Gold Coast overnight then leaving GC airport to head to Japan with my mum and Owen. I am so excited to be going back to Japan, it is going to be amazing. We have made no plans - it is better that way, but bring it on! SO EXCITED. And SHAUNE AND SATAKO ARE GETTING MARRIED!!! And I am making a speech. IT is going to be amazing. When we return, the three of us will spend a few nights on the Gold Coast. It will be BLISS.

So singing off. The last couple of weeks have been Uni mad. Had a break to go see Seal at the Entertainment Centre with Steph. He was amazing. And I spent this weekend with Bek just preparing ourselves for the amazingness that is Ms Spears. Finished up at work for 25 days, all packed and ready to go. The next couple of weeks are going to be an amazing adventure!

This book instantly goes to my BEST EVER list (that being, best I've read). This includes We Need to Talk about Kevin and The Stand. It completely knocks everything else off the god damn shelf. I mean this is a classic that everyone knows about, I'm not sure why I took so long to read it, but you know, this is a true story, it's a murder investigation, but what Capote is looking at more than anything else is these murderers. It's Perry Smith and old Dick Hickock. Partners in crime. A terrible crime - a whole family, slaughtered. Tied up and shot in the head. The master of the house had his throat slit. Brutal, needless - so why then are these killers so DAMN LIKEABLE. Why do you turn the pages going, 'oh shit the cops are hot on their tail - oh they got away this time...', why do you think 'Is it fair that old Dick gets death? What about Perry?'. Is it fair that a human can have compassion for someone who commits such atrocities. Even without knowing about Capote's obsession, and despite the text being so journalistic, the empathising with the murderers (particularly Perry) that you feel is impossible to avoid. I miss this novel already, and seven days later it still constantly in my mind. So many questions, so many thoughts. Fantasssssstique.

I figure as my thoughts and feelings intensify in my life I would prefer to put a lot of my more personal thoughts in private for Friends Only. I think it's fair! I have therefore made every previous entry private, as well as future entries for my own peace of mind.

If you come across this journal for any reason and want to add me, drop us a line :)

Unless you are the crazed Cyberstalker who flooded the comments here. Although I hear she's been banned. Honey, I've had stalkers in real life, so if you want to fuck off now as you don't come across as threatening in the slightest, you can do so.
